Nana’s Journey with PFP

CEO at “Saamqro”

During the fellowship, Nana was placed in San Diego, California, at the San Diego City Hall organization " Connect2Careers", which focuses on providing career consulting for youth. She had an opportunity to be involved in training, consultations, creation of study materials, etc. Besides that experience, Nana had a unique opportunity to explore American culture with an incredible host family. Mr. and Mrs. Walker organized various activities for her.

Following the program completion, Nana (Deputy Director of "Tbilisi Youth Centers Union”) created the Career Counseling program at Tbilisi Municipality City Hall, which was available for local youth and fully financed by the City Hall. Additionally, she created a Career Counseling training program at the GIPA University, which is conducted annually.

It’s noteworthy that she was selected and bestowed the scholarship for the first licensed career counselors’ program, which is financed by USAID and organized by ICDC.
Currently, she is the CEO of the paper packaging company "Saamqro"; she conducts training and provides consultations for those starting in this industry.

"The PFP was one of the most fascinating experiences I have had throughout my career. It supported my knowledge gain and mastering new skills."
