Eduard’s Journey with PFP
Head of Educational Resource Center in Khulo Municipality
Eduard Mikeladze embarked on a transformative journey through the 2015 Professional Fellows Program, Eduard worked with Lauren Matsumoto in the Hawaii House of Representatives in Honolulu and was actively engaged in all activities at the Hawaii State Capitol. However, the door-to-door activities were the most inspiring for him.
While participating in the program, Eduard attended a conference in one of the schools and liked the idea that it is possible to hold a conference at the local level. It was a great motivation for him and alongside his employees, Eduard organized a municipal conference for the first time in the history of the Khulo municipality. Since then, the annual teachers’ conference has gained traction among local teachers.
On the one hand, the conference allows teachers to get to know each other and share examples of successful teaching practices. On the other hand, it is an opportunity for teachers to enhance their knowledge and professional experience.
After completing the PFP program, since the foreign experience was important to him, Eduard decided to pursue a European Master's degree. He was awarded a prestigious British Chevening Scholarship, which allowed him to earn a Master's degree in education from University College London.
Eduard shares that it is an effective program that offers a unique and enriching experience and has a lasting impact on its participants.
"The Professional Fellows Program is highly regarded as one of the most competitive and fascinating programs that helps participants foster professional development and cross-cultural exchange. I believe it provides participants valuable opportunities to connect with professionals from different fields and gain new perspectives."
