Salome’s Journey with PFP
National Democratic Institute, Inclusion Program Manager
Salome Mukhuradze embarked on a transformative journey through the 2016 Professional Fellows Program, where she was placed at Running Start, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, dedicated to empowering young women to run for political office.
At Running Start, Salome focused on exploring fundraising strategies for female candidates and increasing women’s political representation. This immersive experience not only contributed to her personal and professional growth but also provided valuable insights into the dynamics of political campaigns. Salome’s remarkable journey included volunteering for Hillary for America and engaging with inspirational leaders, allowing her to acquire knowledge and establish connections with individuals and institutions possessing extraordinary experiences in the field.
Professional Fellows Program played a crucial role in strengthening Salome’s dedication to empowering underrepresented groups in Georgia. Her commitment to building an inclusive and diverse society is deeply rooted in the belief that fostering equality, inclusivity, and diversity is essential for the sustainable development of Georgia.
“I had the privilege to participate in the Professional Fellows Program (PFP) and gained valuable experience by meeting like-minded individuals and professionals who are trying to change the world for the better. I will forever be grateful for this invaluable opportunity that the program has given me.”
